Outlander PHEV Earns a Spot as a 2020 Family Green Car of the Year Finalist
The Green Car Journal has an award called the 2020 Family Green Car of the Year™. This year, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is one of the finalists for the award, one year after it won the award for 2019 Green SUV of the year.
The 2020 Family Green Car of the Year™ award will be given to the vehicle best designed for a family and one that has features to positively affect the environment during the 2019 San Antonio Auto & Truck Show. The Green Car Awards™ are made to shine a light on environmentally friendly vehicles. Green Car Journal awards each finalist for the award the title of being a 2020 Green Car Product of Excellence™.
The Outlander PHEV earned its finalist spot for mixing its ability as a crossover with impressive fuel efficiency. It pairs a gas motor to the 22-mile all-electric driving range to deliver drivers an EPA-estimated 74 mpg-e*, which is much better for the environment than an all-gas vehicle.
As for family friendliness, the Outlander PHEV keeps you stable and in control by using the Mitsubishi Super All-Wheel Control System. The system delivers optimal traction, performance, and safety to protect what matters most.
